Kudobuzz acquires RetailTower, enabling merchants to streamline sales on multiple shopping channelsACCRA, Ghana, 10th April, 2018 - Kudobuzz, a company that develops marketing apps for ecommerce businesses has acquired RetailTower, an ecommerce product that helps online merchants sell across multiple shopping engines. This is the second acquisition for Kudobuzz this year, following the addition of AdGeek, an advertising tool for ecommerce businesses, at the start of the new year.
Kudobuzz co-founder and CEO Kena Amoah said, “The acquisition of RetailTower strategically positions Kudobuzz to achieve its mission of helping ecommerce businesses make more money by enabling them to sell on multiple sales channels”.
He added, “Over the years, we have seen the pain merchants go through to sell on multiple shopping engines, and with this acquisition, we will be helping these merchants do this much more efficiently . The suite of Kudobuzz products will allow merchants to create a store, grow their brands and expand to other platforms, ultimately resulting in increased sales. ”.
RetailTower CEO and co-founder, Samuel Tuffuor, said, “RetailTower is excited to join forces with Kudobuzz. Social reviews, SEO and listing products across multiple shopping engines (data feed marketing) are the three most important ways to increase sales for online merchants. With this acquisition, these tools have been brought together under one umbrella. I am super excited about the future and what we can achieve together.”
Founded in 2014, Kudobuzz has grown steadily to help over 26,000 merchants increase sales every month. The company has two other products: Social Reviews for building customer trust and SEO Doctor for driving an increase in organic traffic.
The company has recently been shortlisted to attend Pitch@Palace Commonwealth 2018, a platform that showcases entrepreneurs from the 53 Commonwealth countries.
Founders of both Kudobuzz and RetailTower have graduated from the MEST Africa training program, and both are MEST portfolio companies.
