MEST hosts Penny Pritzker, U.S. Secretary of Commerce
U.S. Secretary of Commerce Penny Pritzker visited MEST on May 19th as part of the Presidential Ambassadors for Global Entrepreneurship (PAGE) initiative. Announced in April 2014 by President Obama and Secretary Pritzker, PAGE - which is chaired by Secretary Pritzker - is comprised of 11 well-known, successful American business leaders who have committed to sharing their time, energy, ideas, and experience to help develop the next generation of entrepreneurs both at home and abroad.
Secretary Pritzker was accompanied by inaugural PAGE ambassador Nina Vaca, CEO of Pinnacle Technical Resources, and the joint visit to MEST by Secretary Pritzker and Vaca marked the first international PAGE engagement.
During the visit, Secretary Pritzer and Vaca toured the MEST facilities, spoke with our Entrepreneurs-in-Training as well as our Incubator company founders, and led a roundtable to discuss the importance of global entrepreneurship.
